This blog is dedicated to my friends

I care a great deal about my friends. I am a bit of a hermit and I do not call people and I do not get out that much. This web site is dedicated to those people that are often in my heart and on my mind.

Irene Clayton

One day I will find a good picture of her in my collection and post here.

Irene nursed me through my recovery in 1999 from a full hysterectomy.

She lived in my backyard for three years.

We were sisters at heart. I've missed her.

Phyllis

Phyllis is wearing the blue baseball cap and yellow shirt. She was the best bodyguard a person could choose for my 2oo7 trip to Indonesia to visit Musri. She knew exactly how to share with this class in Blitar, Java, Indonesia, when we were asked to speak English with them.

Kari

My friend and sister. She not only is willing to wear my favorite necklace and read my dictionary while camping in the Olympic mountains--she requested the trip and financed it.

She has willing gone on many adventures with me and tirelessly worked side by side with me lots of time.

Susan

Susan is an unsung hero. She has sat by me and refused to leave until I went to a doctor. She has been a friend and neighbor for years.

She is another of my neglected friends who definitely deserves better than me.

Soni

We are sisters at heart. I do not spend as much time with her as I want. I enjoy her very much. She is about the sweetest person I know.

Matt and Dustin

These boys turn 16 and 15 this year. They wore whatever I put on them willingly. If they came without coats, I fashioned them from garbage bags and hats from sweatshirt sleeves.

They were a joy to their grandpa during his terminal illness.

They have embraced many adventures with their grandma.

Shelby

Shelby is eighteen now and she has been a wonderful friend and granddaughter. We have had many adventures together. In this picture she is embracing my life by wearing my rubber boots.

I am very proud that she has been accepted into Yale but am even more proud of the person has she always been.
